| Why preserve a wedding gown? |
Elaine had tears of joy and sadness glistening in her eyes as she explained that her grandmother had made the dress for Elaine's mother and Elaine wanted to wear the dress for her own wedding. It had not been properly preserved. There were some stains that could not be removed and a little alteration was required, but she wore the dress anyway. Their deaths years before prevented her mother and grandmother from attending the wedding, but they were remembered and their presence was felt. |
