Fresh Touch has been in business since 1982. It was started by Bruce B. Smith, who had gained valuable business experience as an executive at major consumer products companies. He also learned to despise the shirt laundries that broke his buttons and pressed wrinkles into the collars. The business is still owned and operated as a family business.

The interest in wedding gowns took flight
when an employee of "Priscilla's of Boston"
became a customer of Fresh Touch.


Her satisfaction with our service encouraged her to recommend our cleaning and preservation service to her customers. Priscilla herself became one of our most loyal customers and we have continued to work on gowns sent to museums across the United States.

In 1987
Boston Magazine named Fresh Touch as "The Best of Boston." The same year New England's only Five Diamond hotel, The Four Seasons Hotel, asked Fresh Touch to handle  guest and executive cleaning. The Fifteenth Anniversary of this relationship was celebrated in 2002.
